Now that the semester is in full swing, we have a lot of things coming up:

• Find out the best ways to locate articles for your assignments in our Library Skills workshop. We have three this month: Friday 10/11 from 9 - 10 am, Wed 10/17 at 4:50 - 5:50 pm and Tues 10/22 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Visit our Library Workshop Page to sign up today!

• Our Read 2 Succeed series on the book A Child Called "It": One Child's Courage to Survive continues on October 24th from 12:50 - 1:50pm in CSS 217 Participate in discussions and watch videos about this interesting book. 

• We also have a Citation Workshop on Friday October 25th from 10 - 11am. Sign up today!

Also, if you can't make it to the library, there are scholarly articles and books available at home as well as our 24-7 reference help. Just check out our Norco College Library Access 24-7 page to see what's available.

Read 2 Succeed @ Norco College kicks off this Thursday, September 12 from 12:50-1:50 pm in CSS 217 with this semester's selection, A Child Called “It” by Dave Pelzer. This first event includes an interactive discussion and media clips about the book. Refreshments will also be served. We hope to see you there!

A big thanks to everyone who attended our final Read 2 Succeed event for the semester. There was an amazing turnout, and we especially thank Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston for a great presentation!

And...just in time for finals and last minute projects, we have two brand new group study rooms available, freshly painted and ready to go! Four more rooms are on the way, making for a total of seven study rooms in the library.

For May: Poetry, Citation Workshop, and a Meet the Author of our Read 2 Succeed event, Jeanne Wakatsuki!

 

On May 25 from 12:30 to 2:30 PM in room CSS-217, our Read 2 Succeed event closes with a visit from Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston, author of our spring reading selection Farewell to Manzanar. Books will be available for her to sign at the event. We hope to see you there!

April is Here...

Which means it's time for midterms, and then spring break from April 8th to the 12th! We'll be closed during that time, and we hope everyone has a fun, safe and enjoyable break, and you'll all be well rested and ready to go for the remaining semester!

After spring break, we have two things happening in the month of April:

On Tuesday April 23rd from 5:15 to 6:15pm our Library Skills Workshop is happening in room IT-121. Sign up and learn how to improve your library skills and improve your grades on your assignments!

The second installment of our Read 2 Succeed Event will be happening April 25th, from 12:50 to 1:50pm in room CSS-217. Copies of the Read 2 Succeed book Farewell to Manzanar are available in the library. Pick up your copy today, and we'll see you on the 25th!
