April is Here...

Which means it's time for midterms, and then spring break from April 8th to the 12th! We'll be closed during that time, and we hope everyone has a fun, safe and enjoyable break, and you'll all be well rested and ready to go for the remaining semester!

For those of you who have to study over break and need help from the library, we're still able to help you! Check out our library research guide Norco College Library Access 24-7  to find out what resources we have available to you, anytime you need them.







After spring break, we have two things happening in the month of April:

On Tuesday April 23rd from 5:15 to 6:15pm our Library Skills Workshop is happening in room IT-121. Sign up and learn how to improve your library skills and improve your grades on your assignments!


The second installment of our Read 2 Succeed Event will be happening April 25th, from 12:50 to 1:50pm in room CSS-217. Copies of the Read 2 Succeed book Farewell to Manzanar are available in the library. Pick up your copy today, and we'll see you on the 25th!

New Activities and Events for March!

We have a lot of events happening here for the month of March!

There are several workshops happening this month, with a special one devoted especially to citations, on March 21st from 12 to 1pm.  Sign up for either Library Skills Workshop, or our Citation Workshop today!

We also have the kickoff event for our Read 2 Succeed series for Spring 2013 happening March 28th from 12:50 - 1:50pm. The selection this semester is Farewell to Manzanar, a book chronicling the life and times of a Japanese-American family during their forced relocation to an California Internment Camp during World War II. We hope you join us for this great event!

Read 2 Succeed Meet Richard Rodriguez

The final installment Read 2 Succeed Series concludes with a visit from the author of our fall selection, Hunger of Memory: the Education of Richard Rodriguez. He will talk about his book and his life, as well as sign books for participants. See you there!

Get ready for our Open Poetry Performance happening on Thursday, November 8th from 12:50 to 1:50pm.

Do you have a poem that 3-5 minutes long that you want to read? Bring it with you and sign up to read! Sign ups are happening the day of the event, from 12:00 to 12:30pm. If you're still not sure of what you'd like to read, we have a great selection of poetry available for loan next to the entrance of the library. Hope to see you there!
